Sonya Alvino - Broker/Owner
Sonya Alvino is a seasoned businesswomen with extensive experience in real estate development, online marketing and business development. Coming directly from a commercial development background, Sonya completed the final development phase of a 77 acre industrial subdivision and kicked off a 68000 square foot commercial complex in the West of Nassau before joining the ranks of the Bahamas Real Estate Association as a Licensed Broker in 2009.
During this phase of her career, Sonya also completed development of subdivisions in East Nassau, and Eleuthera whilst also initiating the Community Associations that would manage these subdivisions going forwards.
Sonya holds several awards as Top Exclusive Listing Agent award - Bahamas Realty, 2016, 2017 and 2019, but also Top Exclusive Selling Agent - Bahamas Realty, 2017.
Sonya has also held positions as a Project Manager on residential real estate developments in Eleuthera, and in eastern New Providence and also General Manager of a prominent Bahamas Marina. These experiences have equipped her with detailed knowledge of the Bahamas Government approval process to assist any prospecting investor who has set sights on The Bahamas for large, or small, scale investments.
Sonya is owner of Your Bahamas Ltd, a Real Estate Sales and Rentals, and property management company.
British by birth but raised in The Bahamas, Sonya is well versed in the international standards of doing business and also the business culture of The Bahamas. She is also of Italian decent and can converse in conversational Italian.
In her spare time Sonya has initiated many environmental conservation projects and animal protection campaigns to safeguard the Bahamas landscape and improve the lives of animals into the future.
